PM Awas Beneficiary Status Check 2025:- The Rural Development Ministry of the Government of India has launched the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin to provide permanent houses to homeless poor rural people. The aim of this scheme is to build “House for All”. This scheme was officially launched on 20 November 2016 and came into effect across the country from 1 April 2016. Earlier it was called Indira Awas Yojana.
Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 1,20,000 is provided in general rural areas and ₹ 1,30,000 in remote areas (hilly areas), and the minimum size of houses built under PMAY-G should be 25 square meters, which also includes toilet facilities.
The availability of clean drinking water, electricity, LPG connection and other basic amenities is ensured in the houses built under the PMAY-G scheme. For this, the scheme has been linked to other government schemes like Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana and Swachh Bharat Mission.
