WB Joy Bangla Pension Scheme aims to benefit around 21 lakh old residents of the state of West Bengal. The scheme will also cover all the widowed and physically disabled citizens. For the residents of the state, belonging to the Scheduled Caste, the Taposali Bandhu Pension Scheme is being promised and for the residents of the Scheduled Tribes, the scheme Jai Johar Scheme has been announced.

Under the Jai Johar Scheme, the government has set a budget of Rs 500 crore. Thus, covering all the people from the poor sections of the society. WB Joy Bangla Pension Scheme will also extend these benefits to disabled citizens under these categories.

Joy Bangla Pension Scheme comes as a great relief for the poor families of the state, especially during such challenging times, the West Bengal government has announced the launch of Taposali Bandhu Pension Scheme and Joy Bangla Pension Scheme for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). People have to go through the eligibility requirements to avail this scheme. Only those found eligible by the government will get the pension.

Apart from this, people have to present some documents required by the government as proof. There are two major benefits of Joy Bangla scheme, which we have mentioned above. With the help of Taposali Bandhu Pension Scheme, people of Scheduled Caste will get Rs. 600/- per month, and Jai Johar Scheme will give Rs. 1000/- per month to people of Scheduled Tribe, the pension will be transferred directly to the bank account of the pension holder.

The selection of applicants will be determined by their fulfillment of eligibility criteria. If the applicant is not older than 60 years, the state authorities will reject his application. To be eligible for the scheme, the applicant must be part of the scheduled caste or scheduled tribe category.

Only those applicants who fall beneath the poverty line will be chosen for the program. The candidate must possess all necessary documents prior to completing the application form to be chosen for the program.
