The main objective of this scheme is to provide incentives to all the students who are currently living in the state of Karnataka. Students pursuing professional courses from reputed colleges will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme. 1.5 lakh students will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme and this benefit will be available for candidates from the Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste categories.
Through this scheme, the cost of the laptop will be around 32000 to 35000 and students will be able to avail the laptop. The main objective of this scheme is to promote digital education for students who are not able to access education due to the lack of smart devices.
