Women Self Help Groups will be given 80% percent help in purchasing drones under this scheme, as well as a maximum of Rs 8 lakh of the price of the drone and the cost of accessories and ancillary charges. Farmers can take the remaining amount as a loan from the Agricultural Infra Finance Facility, on which 3% interest subsidy will be given.

The salary of the female drone pilot will be Rs 15 thousand
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that under the ‘Drone Didi Yojana’, a cluster of about 10 to 15 villages will be prepared, where a female pilot will be employed to operate the drone. Under this scheme, a woman will be selected as ‘Drone Sakhi’, who will also be provided training for 15 days. Along with this, the female pilot will be given a salary of Rs 15000 per month.
The training of this scheme will be in two parts, in which a member of the women’s self-help group will get five days of drone pilot training, and they will be given ten days of additional training for nutrients and pesticides for agricultural purposes so that they can easily understand the whole process carefully themselves.
